What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is where you place an affiliation link on your website to promote products or services of a third party. When visitors on your website or blog click on the affiliation link, it is tracked by an affiliation management company. If your visitor then purchases an item from the third party website, you will be paid commission.
How much could I earn from affiliate marketing?
Earnings from affiliation marketing will vary depending on the third party products you affiliate with, your current website content, and the amount of visitors that come to your site. Some will offer a fixed price commision, though many will pay you a percentage of the purchase. Amazon for example offer commission of 5.5% of the purchase to a maximum of £7.00. Some dating sites pay £50 if one of your website visitors signup.
Is affiliate marketing safe?
As the clicks are tracked by the affiliation company, they will bill the third party vendor on your behalf. The affiliation company will then pay you once your account reaches the payout limit. TradeTracker will pay you once your account reaches £25.00. Most are free to join and will have many third party companies for you to promote.
